About Me

Hello, my name is Dena. I am 32 years old in the Digital Marketing Program at Western. This is my second time at Western. I already earned a associate degree in culinary management. I would like to own a catering food truck. I got my passion for cooking from my grandfather who came from Italy and opened a pizza restaurant. My grandfather won a few awards for having some really amazing pizza. He influenced me and inspired me even after being gone. I didn’t realize my passion until I had kids. My kids are my biggest motivation. I plan to use my marketing skills to spread awareness about any small business through social media marketing.
I can say this semester has been the most challenging and rewarding semester in my whole school career.
Affirmations have been helping me get my mental health back on track. Here are a few of the things I say to myself to get through.

1. I am capable of and committed to learning new things.
2. I focus on the positive aspects of life.
3. I am capable of success.
